Couples of Faith

Journeying together as a couple and as a deanery community in our faith.

St. John Neumann strives to  be a community of hope and help for marriages & families. The Marriage Ministry is committed to bringing couples into a closer intimate relationship with God and their mates by providing:
• tools to enrich marriage through education;
• activities to promote communication and intimacy;
• and biblical understanding of the precepts of marriage so that God will be glorified in our marriages.

We strive to be a ministry at St. John Neumann that brings married Catholic couples at all stages of their marriages together to strengthen their marriages so as to bring Christ’s loving presence more fully into their lives and the lives of our community.
•Offer opportunities for couples to develop friendships with other married couples
•Offer ways to keep our hearts one with Christ’s giving us strength for the journey
•Give us pause in life to spend some time with our spouses

Whether you are new to marriage or coming up on your golden anniversary, starting a family, raising kids on your own, or healing from a broken marriage you’ll find links to a variety of SJN ministries that can help you:
• Support and strengthen your marriage and/or family life
• Respond to the call to be a sign of God’s love in the world through the way you live marriage and/or family life

Calendar of Events:

Small Group Class: United in Love, United in Christ

Tuesdays, October 9 – November 13 – postponed due to Mass of Reparation
NEW DATES: Tuesdays, October 16 – November 27 (no meeting on November 20)
6:30-8:30PM, Pastoral Center Room 106
Facilitators: Jim and Mattie Nickelatti
Cost: $25 per couple

Created by Jason and Elise Angelette, this 6-week program will help your marriage thrive by drawing you closer to God and closer to each other. For a married couple to be united in love, they must first be united in Christ. The program uses Sacred Scripture, the Catechism of the Catholic Church, magisterial documents, and personal stories from couples to illustrate how married couples can be more closely grafted to Christ and receive all that they need for a healthy and flourishing love.

Save the Date: Advent Couples Program

Turning the Routing into Ritual for your Marriage
Wednesday, November 28
6:30-9:00PM, St. Timothy Room

Is married life a duty or a celebration? How do we turn seemingly disconnected series of events into a beautiful story of sacramental love? Join other couples to explore turning routine into ritual so that we may create a bright awareness and a sense of belonging within our marriages.
