Do you often wonder how the spiritually disciplined and religious really hear God speaking to them? Have you ever desperately wanted to know what God is saying to you about your life, your spiritual path, and your everyday decisions? This is a study on basic Ignatian spirituality using the text God’s Voice Within. We will learn to hear God above the din of the world’s relentless chatter, avoid the enemy’s whispers and find a deeper and more intimate relationship with God by using a practical guide for discernment. This study is for men and women of any age who seek a clearer understanding of God’s voice in their lives. We will conclude each meeting with a guided contemplation prayer.
“You have a vague sense that God is calling you to higher spiritual places— to loftier pursuits and more noble causes— but you do not know exactly what God is calling you to do, and you do not know exactly how to say yes to those callings. You trust in God’s promise to lead you to greener pastures, but you have yet to learn to recognize the voice of The Good Shepherd and to distinguish that voice from those of the false shepherds leading to dead-end places.” – Mark E. Thibodeaux
