Texas Rally for Life

“With God, all things are possible.”   —   Matthew 19:26

A dedicated group of SJN parishioners rallied at the 2016 Texas Rally for Life this past January.  The Rally commemorates the 43rd anniversary of the tragic Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision, which made abortion legal throughout all nine months of pregnancy.  In the wake of Roe, legal abortion in our nation has claimed the lives of more than 57 million unborn children and has hurt countless women and men.  Thanks for your continued prayers, support, and participation.  Stay tuned for 2017 details.

The Church’s call to pro-life outreach is rooted in the belief in the dignity of every human person.  All human life is intrinsically valuable and is to be loved, respected, and protected.  The Church loves, respects, and seeks to protect all human people:  women, men, children, the unborn, the elderly, young mothers faced with unplanned pregnancy, people of all races, nations, creeds, & socioeconomic backgrounds, those burdened by illness or poverty, the homeless, people with physical/mental disabilities, the rich, the poor, the uneducated, saints and sinners alike.

In our society, the dignity of the human person often comes under attack in the forms of abortion, capital punishment, euthanasia, authoritative oppression, human trafficking, & unjust war.  We believe that every person is precious, that people are more important than things, & that the measure of every institution is whether it threatens or enhances the dignity of the human person.  As the Body of Christ, we stand up for those among us most vulnerable.  This includes unborn children.
