Refresher Courses for Current Altar Servers

Current Altar Servers who want refresh themselves on how to serve or who need a more firm grasp on the basics of serving may come to any scheduled training and/or read through our Altar Server Manual with a parent.

Why Become an Altar Server?

This is a great ministry for children and youth to serve the Lord, learn more about their faith, develop new relationships and fellowship with other servers, to stay “active” during the Mass, to earn community service hours, and to serve with their other family members who may serving in other Mass volunteer positions.

What Altar Servers Have Said About the Ministry

Michael Noteboom- “My favorite moments in serving were that I enjoyed the men with which I worked. Serving the Triduum three years in a row with all of the older altar servers and having to attend all the practices and getting to know all the guys much better and having them become some of my better friends.”

Claire Steinman– “My favorite part of altar serving is being an example and mentor to younger servers. I love helping these servers become confident and competent in their role as they grow and learn.

Sean Henke- “The aspect I enjoyed the most about altar serving was the camaraderie with my fellow altar servers.”
