Foot Washing Participants

On Holy Thursday, March 29 from 7:00-8:30 p.m. we will celebrate the Mass of the Lord’s Supper. In this Mass we will commemorate the institution of the Eucharist, the institution of the priesthood, and the call to serve. The liturgy is highlighted by the washing of feet. It is a great privilege to participate in this solemn but humble ceremony.

We traditionally honor 12 members, male and female, of the parish in this ceremony who have been model Christians and that are a cross-section of our parish ministries, programs, and volunteers. Moreover, participants’ service must have directly benefited the parish. Of particular inclusion are those from 1) children’s Religious Education, 2) the RCIA, 3) Liturgy, 4) Middle School, 5) High School Youth Ministry, and 6) Adult Ministry. This honor is also limited to first time recipients. In order to make this selection, the Liturgy Office asked for recommendations from ministry leaders and staff. The Liturgy Office then presented a list of twelve participants to the pastor who made the final selection.

We are happy to announce out 2018 participants as follows. This special feature will appear in our April 8, 2018 Bulletin.
