How it works – High School Confirmation at St. John Neumann 2021-2022

Please be sure to read all the information below before registering for Confirmation this year. Please note that we are keeping a close eye on the current COVID pandemic and changes to the calendar and confirmation policies may happen at any time. Please refer back to this website for the most updated information.

Congratulations!

First things first! Our community is always extremely excited whenever any of our young people freely decide that they would like to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation! It takes courage to become a fully initiated disciple of Christ, and we want to congratulate you and let you know that we are praying for you!

For Parents

As mentioned above, receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation is a decision freely made by our youth. Before registering your son or daughter for Confirmation, we encourage you to have a conversation with them to see where they are in their relationship with Christ, and if they are open and committed to growing that relationship this year.

Contact the High School Youth Minister

Once you fully register your son or daughter for confirmation, the confirmation candidate (high school youth) must contact the High School Youth Minister personally (through email, phone call, or an office visit) to introduce themselves and let them know they would like to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation this year.

How do I know I am ready to register for Confirmation?

Registering does not mean that you already know absolutely everything there is to know about the faith, it means you are making a decision to enter into a deeper relationship with Jesus, and with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, you would like to help others encounter Jesus using your own unique gifts and talents.
