We Believe that our youth are an essential part of the faith community here at St. John Neumann Catholic Church. Youth Ministry is a safe and welcoming place where young people can make and develop positive relationships with each other, our loving God, and His Church.
We Serve our high school youth by providing a place where their emotional, physical, and spiritual needs are met. As a reflection of the love and support that our Lord, parish, and community have given us, we gladly serve them all through joyful, Christian service.
We Offer our youth a variety of opportunities to help them understand, appreciate, and experience that they are not only the Church of the future, but they are the Church with a future.
High School Ministry's (HSM) weekly event is called "HSM Sunday." After the 5:00 pm Mass, our teens gather in the Holy Family Center. We dismiss the teens at 7:45 pm. Dinner is provided.
At HSM Sunday, our parish provides a place for teens to go deeper into their faith, and learn to share their faith with their peers through teachings, witness talks, and interactive discussions. We are not afraid to talk about issues facing our teens today and give them the tools to deal with them in the real world.
Our HSM Sundays cover all sorts of subjects - Church teachings, social issues of the day, and much more. We are here to encourage teens to go deeper in their relationship with Christ and His Church, and to challenge them to live their faith as they carry out their daily lives. Our amazing adult Team Members, strive to create an atmosphere of love and acceptance - we are here to assist them in their faith journey.
Besides our regular Sunday event, HSM has a variety of other social, service, and spiritual events. Check below for more details!
You are invited to schedule a visit with the Director of High School Ministry, to discuss how our parish can nurture your High School teen's faith journey, including Mass attendance, participating in Faith Formation, and preparing for any of the Sacraments.
Help us learn ways St. John Neumann can support your family and create a welcoming environment for your teen. We value your questions, concerns, and suggestions.
